About yoga
Yoga is a science and practice which originated in India over 5000 years ago to promote physical, mental and spiritual development.
The term "yoga" derived from Sanskrit, means "union, bringing together, connexion" and refers to the ever-present union between the individual spirit and the universal spirit.
This can also be thought of as personal consciousness connecting with global
consciousness.
Through the various practices of yoga, we are able to realize the divine eternal spirit which connects and flows through us all. The nature of yoga is discovered in the doing, the practice itself.
In essence it is an inner journey to the true centre of the soul which is the source of all happiness.
